Notification from the Board during the Coronavirus Lockdown
We hope you, your family and your friends are keeping safe and well during this unprecedented situation.
As you know following the Government’s announcement on Monday, the Club has been temporarily closed.
In light of this the Board would like to provide revised details for membership renewal. We hope this information helps to give some clarity during this difficult time.
Firstly, we would like to thank those members who have already renewed their membership. Your loyalty and support is really appreciated.
For renewals received on and before 31 March 2020, the following arrangements are in place:
You will receive a one off credit proportional to the subscription you pay e.g. £25 for an Adult Full member plus a credit for each day of lockdown to be used against your 2021-22 renewal.
To help keep you and our staff safe, if you have access to the internet, we have removed the need to complete a renewal form. Please send your renewal email to Joan (our administrator, who is currently working from home) at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
In your email, please confirm if your membership details remain the same, if not please update Joan of any changes. Please also include the names of everyone included in your membership and the amount you are paying and how you are paying.
We would ask that, where possible, you pay by bank transfer. However, we acknowledge that not everyone will be able to do this and, in those cases, you can post your renewal form and payment. However, we must add that we strongly recommend you follow Government guidelines by staying home and avoiding any unnecessary journeys.
Members that have already paid their subscription may opt-out of this arrangement and request a refund which will cancel their membership renewal.
Membership will be suspended from 1st April 2020 until the Government allows the club to come out of lockdown.
We understand that some members may not wish to or may not be in a position to renew their membership at this time and would like to extend our support to you and remind you that you can apply to re-join later this season and will not be required to pay a joining fee. We look forward to welcoming you back safe and well as soon as possible.
Please rest assured that during this lockdown the Board are holding regular Skype meetings and will look after the club on your behalf by working alongside the LTA to regularly monitor the situation.
Once again, we would like to say thank you to all our members for your continuing support, keep safe, keep up your daily exercise if you can and hopefully one day soon we can dust off our rusty rackets.
